Your Offer to Potential Employers is a Premium Product

Your Offer to Potential Employers is a Premium Product

When you're interviewing with multiple companies, how do you establish a good relationship AND negotiate a high salary?

This was a question from a subscriber on my newsletter list.

(Last week, I answered questions from subscribers via voice memo. If you want to join the list, come to www.jamieleecoach.com and get the free "How to Ask for a Big Pay Raise" ebook!)

Here's my answer:

Think about your future contributions as a premium product offered on the market.

The unique combination of values, skills, and experience that you offer is as rare and VALUABLE as a one-of-a-kind jewel.

When you have two or more interested buyers (potential employers) who want to make a bid (written offer), you're not being mean, greedy, or selfish to tell them what you want.

You're being a responsible and reliable seller.

You help them when you say, "If you can offer me X, that will help me make a decision sooner rather than later."

Or "I do have a competing offer, so if you can offer me something better than X, then that would help me make a decision."

Seller decides.

Let the buyers help you make the best decision, so that your premium product can SHINE.
