The truth is, it’s been about half a century since we started to see meaningful strides in women’s professional and financial empowerment in the West. (And yes, that progress has been woefully slower for women of color.)

I’m a triple-certified executive coach, a child of South Korean immigrants, the monkey-in-the-middle of three sisters, and NYC-dweller who jogs along the Hudson River Park and delights in the greenery of The High Line.
Before becoming a coach, I once worked as a hedge fund analyst and found out I was making 50% of the going market range, because I hadn’t yet learned how to negotiate for myself at work.
I’ve also been the only woman and person of color at the leadership table of a venture-backed tech startup.
I used to struggle with feeling anxious when the male, pale (and sometimes Yale) CXO’s would leave me out of their huddle-and-lunch sessions (where they’d come up with some of the bro-y-est business strategies that inevitably failed).
